#预测市场 I just saw Elon Musk say on Twitter that a civil war in the UK is "inevitable," which startled me and made me think the world was about to go crazy 😅. Out of curiosity, I checked the prediction market on Polymarket and found that the probability of this event is only 3%... instantly, I felt much more at ease!
This made me suddenly realize a truth — why Vitalik calls prediction markets the "antidote" to social media! 🤔 On social media, everyone exaggerates casually, and anyway, there's no need to be responsible for what they say, but prediction markets are different. Real money is involved, and lying means losing money. This can force everyone to tell the truth and reflect the real probabilities.
It feels like a "honest voting mechanism." Compared to overwhelming panic news and emotional comments, using money to express opinions seems more reliable. Next time I see some outrageous prophecy, I’ll first check the prediction market to avoid being led astray 😂
Has anyone used Polymarket? I think this model is quite interesting, and I want to learn more about how to participate!
