Deep Tide TechFlow News, January 2nd, according to Crowdfundinsider, the global sustainable energy solutions group VivoPower International PLC (NASDAQ: VVPR) is a B Corp certified company and is pleased to announce that it has signed an exclusive letter of intent to acquire an operational 40MW+ data center infrastructure in Norway, which is powered by “100% renewable hydropower.”

The facility has an operational capacity of over 40MW, with an additional 40MW capacity planned to receive “potential approval” in 2026, and is expected to become a strategic foundational platform for VivoPower’s “Power-to-X” strategy under Caret Digital.

VivoPower plans to transform this facility from its current joint hosting business model for blockchain computing to a sovereign artificial intelligence center, as the facility has high-density hydropower resources, costs less than $0.035 per kWh, is located in the climate-friendly Nordic region, and has signed a 50-year land lease agreement.

This transformation will support the training and inference of large language models (LLM), “serving local and global enterprise clients seeking carbon-neutral computing.” The expected conversion price of the convertible preferred stock is $6.80 per share, with an annual interest rate of 6% (cash payment). If the transaction proceeds, it will require approval by VivoPower shareholders at the shareholder meeting scheduled for January 2026.
