My Reflections on 2025: A Year of Growth and the Dawn of Gateio’s “Damen” Era
As 2025 comes to a close, I find myself reflecting on a truly remarkable journey. This year was not only transformative for me personally, but also for the global Gateio community that I have had the privilege to grow alongside for more than a decade.
It has now been 12 years since I first entered the world of crypto with a simple yet ambitious vision: to create a platform that opens access to digital assets for everyone. What began as curiosity has evolved into a resilient, ever-expanding ecosystem. Looking back, 2025 stands out as a year of consolidation, innovation, and renewed purpose.
At the core of Gateio’s long-term success lies one principle we have never compromised on: trust. Through every market cycle, our priority has always been the protection of user assets. Our Proof of Reserves system, enhanced with zero-knowledge proof technology, ensures that all assets on the platform are fully backed, consistently exceeding a 100 percent reserve ratio. Today, our reserves remain strong, with total holdings surpassing ten billion dollars across major assets.
This commitment to transparency is more than a technical achievement. It is a promise to our users. In an industry that has faced heightened scrutiny and turbulence, Gateio has remained stable, compliant, and reliable. From global regulatory alignment to independent audits, we continue to raise the standard for accountability. I still remember a time when crypto was seen as a financial frontier with few rules. Today, through verifiable systems like ZKP-based Proof of Reserves, we are helping define what responsible innovation looks like.
Beyond security, 2025 marked a significant expansion of Gateio’s role in the broader Web3 landscape. We are no longer just a trading platform. We are a comprehensive Web3 hub. The Gate Web3 Wallet has become a central pillar of this vision, offering seamless access to decentralized applications, on-chain trading, and early-stage opportunities through Launchpad and Launchpool.
This year, we also introduced MemeBox, a product that blends internet culture with Web3 finance, allowing communities to participate in creative and decentralized economic models. At the same time, our strategic partnerships continued to grow. One notable milestone was our collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Blockchain Center to support a one hundred million dollar fund dedicated to accelerating global Web3 innovation.
These initiatives reflect our evolution into a full-stack ecosystem spanning DeFi, NFTs, and advanced compliance infrastructure. Our goal remains simple: to make Web3 accessible, intuitive, and secure for everyone, whether they are experienced traders or newcomers opening their first wallet.
Innovation has always defined Gateio, and 2025 reinforced that identity. With more than 4,200 listed cryptocurrencies and a wide range of products across spot, futures, options, and structured trading tools, we continue to serve as a launch platform for emerging ideas. Features such as CandyDrop for token distributions and Smart Leverage, designed to reduce forced liquidations, were built to give users greater flexibility and control.
We also celebrated our 12th anniversary in Dubai, where we unveiled our brand upgrade and outlined a clearer path toward deeper integration across the crypto economy. For me, these developments are not just product updates. They are tools that empower builders, innovators, and everyday users to actively participate in shaping the future of digital finance.
Looking ahead, the vision for Gateio is clearer than ever. The concept of “Damen,” or the Grand Gate, represents our belief that crypto should be open, inclusive, and forward-looking. We are no longer standing at the entrance of this industry. We are opening the gates wide.
As we move into 2026 and beyond, I expect stronger institutional participation, driven by clearer regulatory frameworks and growing global confidence in blockchain technology. Gateio will continue to push boundaries in DeFi, DAO infrastructure, and Web3 adoption, while remaining a safe and transparent environment for innovation to thrive.
