The Truth Behind the Percentage When a New Coin Is Listed on Binance

Abstract generation in progress

Many investors often have a big misconception when looking at the percentage increase/decrease of a new coin just listed on Binance. Today, we will clarify to avoid misunderstandings that could lead to wrong investment decisions.

  1. Binance Always Announces 3 Price Levels Before Opening Trades When a new token is listed, Binance must display the first 3 digits: Opening Price (Opening Price )High of the Day (High of the Day )Low of the Day (Low of the Day ) Example with $WLFI: Lowest price (Low): $0.20Highest price (High): $0.4780Opening price (Opening): around $0.29
  2. So where do these numbers come from? The lowest price (Low) is usually based on the ICO price, Launchpool, or the lowest price on another exchange previously. The highest price (High) may come from CoinMarketCap, another exchange, or sometimes just a random level based on estimated market capitalization. The opening price (Opening) is the actual price at which everyone can start trading. In other words, the % figure you see on the chart does not mean that someone bought at the Low price or sold at the High price.
  3. The Case Of $WLFI Presale price: $0.015Low price displayed: $0.20 (not the actual price to be able to buy when the transaction opens).Actual opening price: $0.29 Thus, when Binance shows that $WLFI has increased by 54%, this figure does not mean that an investor bought at $0.20 and then sold at $0.4780. This is just a way to display the percentage based on the Low point and the current price.
  4. Important Lessons Don’t be fooled by the overly “illusory” green and red percentages on the listing day. Remember: ✅ Everyone can only buy/sell from the opening price onwards. ✅ The initial Low/High milestones are mainly for Binance to have starting figures and do not reflect actual trading. ✅ To invest wisely, you should thoroughly understand the origins of the price and the listing mechanism instead of just looking at the % growth. 👉 Conclusion: The displayed % figure is for reference only and does not represent the actual profit that traders may achieve. Investment requires caution and a clear understanding of market nature.
