Kris Sennesael Takes the Helm as Western Digital's New Chief Financial Officer

Western Digital Corporation has made an executive appointment that signals its commitment to strengthening financial leadership. The company welcomed Kris Sennesael into the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO), a position he will assume on May 12, 2025.

A Seasoned Finance Professional Joins the Team

Sennesael brings considerable expertise from his previous tenure at Skyworks Solutions, where he served as CFO. Over the course of more than 25 years, he has accumulated substantial experience navigating the finance and general management landscapes within the semiconductor and technology sectors—areas that are critical to Western Digital’s business operations.

His professional background is notably comprehensive. Before his role at Skyworks Solutions, Sennesael held CFO positions at both Enphase Energy and Standard Microsystems. Additionally, he has served in leadership capacities at ON Semiconductor, AMI Semiconductor, and Alcatel Microelectronics, demonstrating his breadth of experience across the industry.

Strategic Vision and Expanded Responsibilities

At Western Digital, Sennesael will report directly to Chief Executive Officer Irving Tan. His purview extends across the entire global finance organization, encompassing finance operations, accounting, financial reporting, tax functions, treasury management, internal audit, corporate real estate oversight, and investor relations.
