#加密货币监管框架 Seeing this statement from the Coinbase CEO, I have to speak my mind: a clear regulatory framework is actually beneficial for retail users, even if it doesn't sound pleasant.

Remember the prediction market boom from a few years ago? Various platforms grew wildly without regulation, and nobody knew where their funds were really going. A bunch of projects used "decentralized prediction" as an excuse to harvest retail investors, and only when risks exploded did people discover there was no risk management system in place. I've seen friends lose everything on some "prediction platform," and couldn't even find anyone to hold accountable afterward.

The CFTC taking over prediction market regulation is essentially pulling what was once in a gray area into the spotlight. This means: clear risk disclosure requirements, fund segregation protections, and actual regulatory accountability mechanisms. Yes, this will filter out a batch of sketchy platforms, but that's exactly the point—those platforms shouldn't have existed in the first place.

What I value more now is—which platforms are actively embracing the compliance framework, and which ones are still playing hide-and-seek. The ones embracing it at least signal they have long-term operating intentions, rather than planning to farm and flee. One secret to longevity on-chain is learning to distinguish between "regulated risk" and "getting harvested risk." The former you can accept and manage; the latter is a bottomless pit.
