ME News Report, April 11 (UTC+8), according to a senior Pakistani source, U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris played a key role in facilitating the U.S.-Iran negotiations set to begin in Islamabad, Pakistan. The source familiar with the negotiation process said they estimate it will take several days to finalize a ceasefire agreement, and Pakistani officials hope to persuade Harris to extend her stay in Pakistan to help facilitate this. Additionally, a senior Gulf region source revealed that Iran has very low trust in U.S. President Trump’s envoy, Witkov. Previously, Witkov led multiple rounds of negotiations with Iran, but these talks were all interrupted due to U.S. military strikes against Iran. Witkov is one of the U.S. delegation members participating in the Islamabad negotiations. (Source: ChainCatcher)
