10 Days Into @quipnetwork Testnet — My Honest Take ⚛️

Been following Quip since early April, and after actually running a node myself, I didn’t expect it to feel this smooth.
120+ nodes live in ~10 days and 13k+ signups on day one. For a quantum-DePIN project, that kind of early traction is rare.
What surprised me most is how easy it is to get started. I spun up a node on my MacBook in under 10 minutes. No VPS, no heavy setup, just download, run, and it starts contributing compute. Laptop stays cool, barely any resource usage.
This is where it gets interesting. You’re not just farming points, you’re actually helping test hybrid quantum-classical jobs on a live network. That’s a very different feel compared to most “testnets”.
Right now you can:
• Run a node
• Submit optimization jobs
• Test post-quantum vaults
• Farm Mindshare
Most people I see are doing all of them together.
After digging through their docs, Discord, and D-Wave integration, this doesn’t feel like vaporware. It’s one of the few projects where “quantum” is actually usable, not just theoretical.
Still early. Mainnet and TGE are planned for Q2 2026, and this stage is where early positioning matters most.
Curious, has anyone else here spun up a node yet? What’s your setup like?
