Bullard said at an event hosted by the American Enterprise Institute in Washington, "I expect commodity price increases to have a one-to-one impact on overall inflation, and there will be a period of high overall inflation." He added, "Core inflation will also be affected to some extent through transmission, and I will closely monitor the degree of transmission and the correlation between the two."
