A few days ago, I watched "The Rescue Plan," and it was really good.

This film can be considered a showcase for Gosling, carried mostly by him.
After watching, I discussed with friends why China can't produce this kind of movie. We talked for a long time and realized that the first hurdle is casting.
Movies like "The Martian," "Interstellar," and "The Rescue Plan," which are basically carried by a single actor throughout the entire film.
It seems that domestically, there's no male star who can carry such a role in terms of appearance, temperament, and acting skills.
Shen Teng and Huang Bo seem to have the acting chops, but not the toughness needed.
Wu Jing is tough enough, but it feels like he can easily break the suspension of disbelief.
