According to TechFlow news on March 30, 36Kr reported that the synthetic biotechnology developer MicroGenetics completed a 300 million yuan A+ round of financing in March 2026, with investment from Henan Investment Group Huirong Fund and Mr. Tan Ruiqing. This round of financing will be used to broaden the boundaries of AI bio-computing applications and increase investment in core technology R&D and scenario implementation.

At the same time, MicroGenetics, in collaboration with Stanford University, Princeton University, Peking University, ByteDance, NVIDIA, and other institutions, launched the open collaboration platform PoseX at ICLR 2026, aimed at solving the molecular docking challenges in real-world scenarios and systematically evaluating 24 mainstream methods. Test results show that top AI docking methods (such as SurfDock) and co-folding methods (such as AlphaFold3) have fully surpassed traditional physical models in accuracy and robustness for cross-conformation docking tasks.

Currently, MicroGenetics has completed the R&D and commercialization of several products including alditol, lutein, and mannitol, and is accelerating the layout of product lines related to methanol biomanufacturing.
