Why would people think that complaining about BackPack is being paid for it? An exchange where deposited funds take nearly 2 hours to arrive without being credited—are we not supposed to criticize that? I was originally curious whether BackPack would hire a bunch of accounts to astroturf and wash the discourse in the Chinese community, but now I realize my thinking was actually too principled. Deploying throwaway accounts to ask bloggers criticizing BackPack if they were paid to trash it...? Who came up with this PR tactic?
