Microsoft announced a new strategy to enhance AI security. It recommends that enterprises treat AI agents as a core security layer, aiming to provide a comprehensive security framework for the AI era. The main update includes the upcoming release of Microsoft Agent 365 on May 1, which will help IT and security teams centralize visibility and management of AI agents. The goal is to integrate with the new Microsoft 365 security features for comprehensive protection.

Microsoft has introduced a “Security Foundation” strategy based on infrastructure, identity, data flow, and services reliant on AI systems. These new measures effectively manage the risks associated with AI proliferation, helping organizations continuously monitor AI usage locations, access methods, and emerging risk types.

To eliminate AI opacity, a new security dashboard and a service for monitoring AI activities via network will be available starting March 31. By supporting various solutions for organizational risk management, the aim is to minimize AI-derived threats and ensure security.
