Mars Finance News: The Northern District Federal Court of California recently dismissed Coinbase user Roger Metz’s attempt to block an IRS subpoena. Metz argued that the IRS’s demand for Coinbase to produce financial records related to the 2022 tax audit violated privacy rights and procedural rules, and that he had already identified errors and paid additional taxes before the subpoena was issued. The court dismissed the case on the grounds that Metz did not notify the U.S. Attorney General within 90 days, citing insufficient service of process, but allowed him to refile the application later.
