On the 19th, according to the Korea Exchange, the KOSPI index fell 161.37 points (−2.72%) from the previous trading day, closing at 5,763.66 points.
In the main board market, individual investors net bought 766.9 billion KRW, while foreign investors and institutional investors net sold 576.9 billion KRW and 211.7 billion KRW, respectively.

International gold prices fell by $112.00, closing at $4,896.20 per troy ounce. According to GoldPrice.com, domestic gold prices (per gram) increased by 252.19 KRW, to 233,597.17 KRW.
