Trump tariffs: Customs and Border Protection tells judge it can't comply with refund order

U.S. Customs and Border Protection told a Court of International Trade judge on Friday that it is not able to comply with his order to begin refunding reciprocal tariffs imposed last year by President Donald Trump, which the Supreme Court recently ruled are illegal.
CBP in the same court filing told Judge Richard Eaton that the total amount of so-called IEEPA duties collected as of Tuesday by the agency and estimated duty deposits related to such tariffs “is approximately $166 billion.”
