The market capitalization in the memecoin sector has been halved, dropping from hundreds of billions to just over three hundred billion dollars within the year.
According to the latest data from CoinMarketCap, the meme coin market is cooling down. The total market capitalization of the entire Memecoin sector has fallen to around $35 billion, hitting a new low in nearly a year.
This figure reflects a quite steep downward trend—around Christmas last year, the sector’s market cap was still near $100 billion, and now it has declined by over 65%. In terms of market enthusiasm, meme coins have gradually returned to rationality from their peak last year.
However, based on the rebound in data from Friday, the market cap of the Memecoin sector has slightly recovered, returning to around $36 billion, indicating that there is still some buying support at the bottom.
