Standard Chartered Bank states that Ethereum's dominance in stablecoins, RWA, and DeFi, along with increased network throughput, will support ETH to outperform Bitcoin in 2026, and expects the ETH/BTC ratio to rebound to around the high levels of 2021 (about 0.08). Standard Chartered also downgraded the short-term price targets for ETH from 2026–2028 (to $7,500 in 2026), but raised the long-term outlook, increasing the 2029 target to $30,000, and adding a 2030 target of $40,000.
