CoinVoice has learned that, according to former Fox reporter Eleanor Terrett, the U.S. Senate Banking Committee will hold its first formal markup of the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act (H.R. 3633) on January 15. The House of Representatives previously passed the bill in July 2025. The Senate version of the text will be submitted to lawmakers this Monday or Tuesday, with key focus areas including ethical standards for officials holding tokens, the attribution of stablecoin yields, and DeFi regulation. The bill may be advanced simultaneously with the version from the Agriculture Committee. If passed, it will lay the foundational framework for cryptocurrency market regulation in the United States.
