The Polygon ecosystem is undergoing an interesting transformation. The once broad narrative of scalability has now evolved into multiple parallel and differentiated paths.

Some projects are fully committed to ultra-large-scale competition, pursuing maximum throughput. Others are shifting towards specialized tracks, focusing on deep optimization for specific scenarios. Each finds its own position rather than all pushing in the same direction.

This differentiation is actually a natural development. As network scale reaches the level of 2026, simply competing on transaction speed becomes less critical. The real challenge is tackling more complex issues—how to maintain performance while ensuring security, and how to provide customized support for different applications.

This diversified ecosystem layout, to some extent, is more resilient than a single narrative. It means that industry participants within the ecosystem can finally stop competing internally and start seeking differentiated value externally.
