#美国贸易赤字状况 $RIVER The moment the account is wiped out, I finally realize: if you don't cut losses, you're essentially handing your account directly to the market.

Why do so many contract traders end up losing everything? $BAN Rather than saying the market is too ruthless or luck is bad, it's more about not taking risk seriously.

A simple "wait a bit longer" can wipe out an account. $KAITO

I've been down this road too. In 2023, when BTC dropped, I used 5x leverage to short, thinking there was still room for a rebound, but I was liquidated by the opposite trend; in 2024, when SOL surged, I greedily chased a 10x short, and in the blink of an eye, I was wiped out.

That moment I finally understood: true competitiveness isn't about win rate, but about whether you can stay alive.

My current trading framework boils down to three points:

**Step 1: Stay alive**

Set a stop-loss immediately when opening a position—this isn't optional, it's a must.

Stop-loss = reciprocal of leverage. If you're using 20x leverage, set a 5% stop-loss; with a 10,000U capital, the worst-case loss is 500U, and your account won't collapse overnight.

**Step 2: Lock in profits proactively**

Floating gains are the easiest to fantasize about, but the real strategy is to use them to protect your position.

Floating profit reaches 5% → move the stop-loss up to the breakeven point

Floating profit reaches 10% → lock in at least 5% profit

Floating profit reaches 20% → the stop-loss can't be lower than 15% profit

Like playing a game, save your progress at each stage—don't be greedy.

**Step 3: Keep emotions at bay**

Losing several trades in a row? Close the app and take a day to cool off. Making big profits? Immediately withdraw some to your wallet. Emotional trading is basically giving away money.

My practical record: $ETH Opened a long position with 20x leverage, initially setting a 2% stop-loss, gradually raising the stop as the market moves up, ultimately capturing the gains while keeping risk within manageable limits.

The contract market is never about courage or luck; it's purely a game of discipline and risk management.

Stop-loss isn't admitting defeat; it's your real protective charm.

Opportunities in the crypto world are indeed plentiful, but the most valuable thing is actually simple—staying alive so you can wait for the next wave of market movement.

It's another old story about stop-loss, but indeed, how many people fall here.

It's the same old story, I've heard it a hundred times. The real question is, how many people can actually stick to stop-loss?

The thing about stop-losses is, frankly, about survival. I used to be a "wait a little longer" obsessed person too. Now that my account is still here, I thank the heavens.

Really, stop-loss is a lifesaver; not setting one is playing with fire.

It's that kind of "I've realized it" story again, but when the market explodes, no one gives a damn about stop-loss...

Here comes the "I have a secret" story about cutting leeks again. Is it true? The most beautifully written stop-loss plans all fall apart as soon as the market crashes.

That's so true. Stop-loss is really a protective charm, not giving up. I used to be greedy and chase trades, and only after losing a lot did I understand this principle.
