Bitcoin has experienced a clear false breakout in the short term. Just moments ago, it showed an upward breakout near 91,632, but within the following hour, it encountered a sharp decline, falling to the 90,423 level. Such rapid drops after a quick rally are often referred to as "whipsaw" markets—trapping late buyers and then quickly selling off to harvest profits.

This sudden reversal has caused a dramatic shift in market sentiment. Long positions that were entered above 91,500 were instantly trapped, with the gains completely wiped out, and the price even broke below the intraday midline of 90,500, shifting from optimistic breakout expectations to panic re-testing.

The most critical level to watch now is the 90,000 mark. The price has returned to the lower end of the weekend range, and the more frequently support is tested, the more likely its effectiveness is to diminish. After a false breakout, downward momentum tends to be quite strong, meaning the 90,000 level could face the most challenging test of the week.

From the perspective of support and resistance, the 90,000-90,200 zone forms a short-term vital defense line. If this area is broken with volume during the European session, it could trigger a chain of liquidations. If this support fails, the next liquidity absorption zone is around 89,400-89,600. Further strong support lies near 88,500. Traders should closely monitor these key levels, especially in conjunction with trading volume.
