According to data from Farside Investors published on January 1, the net capital inflow into existing Ethereum ETFs in the US market for the entire year of 2025 reached $9.6863 billion, reflecting strong institutional investor interest in this asset class.

Initial Phase: Gradual Accumulation

In the early months of the year, capital flow into Ethereum ETFs was relatively moderate but steady. January saw $101.5 million, and February was $60 million — a period during which early investors took preliminary steps to approach the market. However, March experienced a capital outflow of $389 million, indicating some market volatility.

In April and May, the situation began to improve — net capital flows were $66.1 million and $564.2 million, respectively, signaling a gradual recovery among investors.

Summer Boom: Year’s Peak

The most notable period of 2025 occurred in the summer, when capital inflows surged significantly:

June: $1.1651 billion
July: $5.4309 billion (highest of the year)
August: $3.8717 billion

These three months alone accounted for nearly 85% of the total capital flow in 2025, demonstrating a strong positive cycle that early investors had prepared for.

Final Phase: Volatility and Withdrawals

From September onward, the growth pace slowed down. Although September and October still recorded net capital inflows of $285.6 million and $570.1 million, respectively, November and December saw capital outflows of $1.4236 billion and $616.3 million.
