#链上资产管理 I just saw the news that the Trust Wallet extension was hacked, and I was so scared I almost dropped my phone 😱 Over $6 million worth—what a huge wake-up call for us newbies...

After analyzing it carefully, I found that the hacker embedded a backdoor code, which directly stole the mnemonic and private keys when users unlocked the wallet, then sent them to malicious servers. Feels unstoppable? But SlowMist’s analysis made me realize one thing—this could be an APT-level professional attack, and the hackers might have even gained control of the development permissions in advance.

What impressed me the most is that the stolen assets spanned multiple chains: about 33 BTC (around $3 million), and losses on Ethereum and Layer2 networks as well. This really shows that on-chain asset management needs to be especially cautious.

For us newbies, the official advice should be to act immediately:
- If you have the Trust Wallet extension installed, disconnect from the internet first (this detail is very important)
- Export your private key/mnemonic and uninstall the extension
- Quickly transfer your funds to a secure wallet

Honestly, this incident made me understand even more why everyone emphasizes not to keep assets in browser wallets. Cold wallets or hardware wallets are truly more reliable. In the future, we need to be more cautious when choosing wallets and also keep updating the software... For those of you using Trust Wallet recently, should you check it out right now?
