Built a Solana DEX prototype with some clever client-side signing optimization and custom RPC infrastructure—managed to get buy execution down to 400ms flat. The orderbook streaming is running smooth.
What really stands out though: modern AI is making this kind of thing way too easy to build. We're talking about complex financial infrastructure that would've taken months just a year ago. At this rate, we'll probably see at least a dozen serious crypto startups pop off this year alone. The technical barriers that used to exist? They're basically gone now. Anyone with a solid idea and the right tools can move fast. That changes everything for how crypto scales from here.

400ms execution? No wonder it's Solana, the speed is truly incredible.

400ms execution speed is indeed impressive, but I have to pour cold water on this optimistic tone—if the technical barrier is lowered, what about governance? A bunch of new projects are launching simultaneously, but how many truly address the issues of incentive mechanisms and checks and balances? History has already written the answers.

An execution speed of 400ms is indeed quite impressive. But to be honest, when it comes to AI lowering the barrier to entry, we should think about it in the opposite way...

400ms execution speed, this is really impressive, but AI lowering the barrier so much might be a double-edged sword, right?
