Big news in the AI field again. xAI, a company founded by a renowned entrepreneur and developer of the Grok chat robot, recently completed Series E funding, with the final amount reaching $20 billion, surpassing the initial target of $15 billion by $5 billion.

The list of investors in this round is quite impressive — including Valor Equity Partners, Fidelity Management & Research, Karda Investment Bureau, Abu Dhabi Technology Investment Company MGX, and others. Even chip giant NVIDIA and Cisco's venture capital arm participated as strategic investors. This shows that the enthusiasm for investment in this AI direction is indeed extraordinary.

Interestingly, xAI revealed that combined, X and Grok have reached 600 million monthly active users. The main purpose of this funding is to continue building data centers and to advance the development and iteration of the Grok large model. It seems that in this AI arms race, whoever can optimize computing power and models first will be able to reap more benefits.

20 billion dollars? Now the computing power arms race really has no ceiling... Damn, even Nvidia's own venture capital arm has joined the game, betting on who can survive until the end. 600 million monthly active users sounds impressive, but how many of them are actually willing to spend money? The routine of stacking computing power—does it feel like there's no new tricks left to play? This fundraising speed makes it seem like the entire industry is racing against time. Again, money is being burned to build data centers—who will be the first to recoup their investment? Fidelity has also come in; this round is truly different...

20 billion has been invested, it's just a gamble on whose computing power can block others first. This game is really becoming more and more money-burning.

20 billion USD, now the computing power race is even more intense. It seems like no one dares to stop except Elon.

20 billion is really outrageous; now the computing power arms race is truly heating up. Grok's 600 million monthly active users sound impressive, but how many are actual paying users? It's both NVIDIA and Cisco; big companies are all betting, gambling on who will survive until the end. The speed at which data centers burn through money is said to be even more outrageous than the chips themselves... Interestingly, exceeding fundraising targets often indicates that the bubble is about to burst.

20 billion dollars, just stacking it up, and it has to get more competitive later on.

20 billion dollars, this is a direct showdown with OpenAI. But speaking of 600 million monthly active users... need to do the math carefully. The AI computing power race has entered a heated stage. Whoever has more GPUs can just sit back and win? Seems not that simple. The more funding raised, the less confidence there is. OpenAI has long stopped raising funds.
