AMD releases AI PC chip to challenge NVIDIA: stock price could reach $400?

AMD CEO Lisa Su ( unveiled the new Helios AI data center platform at CES, positioning it as a direct competitor to NVIDIA’s NVL system. The platform will feature 72 MI455X chips, comparable to NVIDIA’s latest 72 Rubin GPUs. AMD also previewed its next-generation MI500 series GPUs and the full MI400 series product lineup. Lisa Su emphasized that AMD is committed to building the computational infrastructure for trillion-trillion level AI through open platforms and ecosystem collaboration. Analysts remain optimistic about Helios AI, with Stifel setting a target price of $280 due to its high prediction accuracy; Benchmark’s target price is $325.
