Recently, I have been re-evaluating the yield strategies for stablecoins, gradually shifting towards some DeFi platforms that focus on refined strategies.

To be honest, blindly chasing APY numbers itself is not very meaningful. What truly matters is how the platform makes money.

In comparison, some platforms' yields come from:

**Fictitious parts**: Hidden impermanent loss risks, leverage multiples concealed in details, false prosperity created by new coin emissions

**Real parts**: Funding rate settlements, arbitrage opportunities, support from actual trading activity

Choosing the latter means giving up those flashy numbers and accepting simpler but more solid returns. This "subtraction" may seem to offer less attractive yields, but it reduces the risks of leverage liquidation, impermanent loss variability, and a bubble bursting overnight, returning everything to a more stable state.

The core logic of stablecoins should inherently be stability. Why risk amplifying returns through high-risk leverage?

This statement is spot on. I've seen too many people get cut by artificially inflated APYs. Stablecoins shouldn't chase high yields; preserving the principal is the real key. --- Honestly, I’d rather have a 5% real return than chase a 50% illusion that ends in liquidation. --- Well said. Some people are just greedy and have to gamble, and then... you all know the outcome. --- Impermanent loss is a deep water area; most retail investors simply can't understand it, and platforms just profit from this gap. --- Refined strategies sound good, but how can we verify if they are truly sophisticated or just a different way to cut? --- I agree, but completely abandoning high yields isn't realistic either. The key is risk controllability. --- I just saw a big influencer say "stability equals returns." How come so many people still don't believe it? --- The feeling during a leveraged liquidation is something I’ll never forget for a lifetime... --- The funding rate is indeed more reliable than new coin emissions; at least it's based on real trading counterparties.

Sister, your idea is brilliant. Finally, someone has said it out loud. Really, I stay far away from platforms that boast 200% APY. It's better to be pragmatic than to dream of making money in your sleep.

You're absolutely right. I stopped touching platforms that boast 300% APY a long time ago. Places with ridiculously high APY are either scamming users or using leverage bombs. Stablecoins should earn steadily, why take the risk of liquidation? Real returns should come from arbitrage and funding rates, not from meme coins emissions. I think your approach is correct. Reducing a lot of variables can definitely improve your mindset.

Here we go again with the "stability is winning" argument, but honestly, I agree with it this time. No matter how high the APY is touted, if you get liquidated once, it's all gone. This is the only way to truly sleep well.

Damn, it's another story of being brainwashed by high APY. I should have seen through it long ago. Exactly, those numbers are illusions. Wake up, everyone. Have you ever seen a leveraged liquidation? The feeling of a dream shattering overnight is truly ultimate. I just like this dull, stable income. My sleep quality directly improves. Really, instead of betting on false prosperity, it's better to honestly earn from funding rates.

Eye-catching. I've seen too many people get liquidated for chasing high APY, basically just greed. --- This logic is actually about not gambling and earning steady income. I'm also gradually adjusting my strategy. --- +1, those new coins keep crashing every day, what’s the use of impressive profit numbers. --- That's right, but most people just can't change this habit and have to take a gamble. --- Refined strategies sound good, but which platforms are we talking about specifically? --- Subtractive thinking is indeed stable, but the problem is human greed, which is hard to overcome. --- Really, at the moment of leverage liquidation, all APY is useless. --- Stablecoins should just earn steadily, no need for all those tricks.

Wow, finally someone dares to speak such honest words. I stopped believing those sky-high APYs long ago. That's right, stablecoins should just earn steadily, and all that high-leverage gambling is just risking your life. It's really about doing subtraction well, and sleeping soundly. There are too many liquidation incidents. Not many people think this way, but those who survive are all doing this. There aren't many reliable platforms to begin with, and your approach is correct.

Girls, don't just envy the APY, really --- Those high-yield numbers... are mostly built on leverage, waiting for you at the liquidation point --- Stablecoins should be stable, insisting on high leverage is just suicidal trading --- To be honest, I’ve also fallen into this trap, and in the end, returning to fundamentals is more comfortable --- Impermanent loss, hidden leverage—these are all pitfalls. Seeing high returns actually means jumping into a fire pit --- Choosing a refined strategy this time was a good decision, at least you don’t have to worry about waking up to find everything gone overnight
