My advice to CTO leads and devs is listen to the market.
Bagworking and recruiting is an essential part of a coin’s success but if the market doesn’t accept the coin you can’t force it.
I’ve had plenty of projects that did much better than I anticipated because I didn’t realize how much it resonated with people.
I’ve also had plenty of projects that I thought were good that flopped because I overestimated the narrative.
So in short, work hard and get the right people in but if the sentiment and buzz around it is low after a while then it’s time to cut and find something else.
In rare occasion if you feel like the market doesn’t see the potential or vision yet, then find individual people that do that can share with a larger audience and test from there.
