The Federal Reserve's 2024 Meeting Schedule Revealed: Policy Shift in the Second Half is Key

The Federal Reserve has announced the schedule for eight policy meetings in 2024. The intensive period in the first half of the year has passed—these four meetings on January 30-31, March 19-20, April 30-May 1, and June 11-12 are now behind us; the policy window in the second half remains crucial, with four meetings on July 30-31, September 17-18, November 6-7, and December 17-18 that will determine the monetary policy direction before the end of the year.

Currently, market focus is on the decisions in the next two months. After experiencing data validation in the first half of the year, whether the Fed's Powell team will truly enter a rate-cutting cycle before Q4 has become a shared concern among the crypto community and traditional financial markets. Each Federal Reserve meeting could trigger significant market volatility, and the outcomes of these eight meetings will directly influence the liquidity environment and asset allocation strategies for the entire year of 2024.
