Staying humble is key.
Communicating directly with people from different backgrounds is more valuable than anything else. Reducing news consumption and macroeconomic research doesn't mean completely avoiding them—just knowing a few different perspectives is enough.
My current news intake is very restrained, less than 100 words a day. I don't watch official media, traditional media, social media accounts, or self-media. Too much information can lead to being swayed by the rhythm and becoming self-righteous.
The more news you consume, the less necessarily you understand. Sometimes, it’s just noise. Truly useful information comes from interacting with real people. This has been my biggest realization during this period.
