Does India's digital ID rollout come with hidden costs? The rapid expansion of digital identification systems in India has inadvertently created new vulnerabilities that criminals are quick to exploit. As more personal data gets digitized and integrated into centralized databases, the attack surface for fraudsters expands significantly. This scenario mirrors concerns in the Web3 space—where identity verification and KYC protocols face similar tradeoffs between convenience and security. When governments push for streamlined digital identity solutions, the underlying infrastructure often becomes a lucrative target for bad actors seeking to compromise personal information, forge credentials, or orchestrate sophisticated fraud schemes. The parallel is worth noting: whether it's centralized national ID systems or decentralized authentication protocols, the rush to adopt new identity technologies without robust security frameworks can create opportunities for criminal innovation rather than eliminating them.

Centralized systems are always honeypots; no matter how many promises are made, they are useless... Even India is starting to reveal vulnerabilities.

Ha, it's the same old trick again. Centralized vs decentralized, in the end, it's all about data running naked...

Centralized systems once again prove why true autonomy is so scarce... India's situation is a textbook example of the opposite, don't they understand that the more data is concentrated, the greater the risk?

Really, centralized databases are just a honey pot, no wonder scammers are so excited... Web3's decentralized solutions at least have some risk dispersion, but the unified ID system promoted by the government... why does it seem like security issues are increasing and yet more KYC is needed? It's quite contradictory.

nah this is actually just centralized honeypot larping as progress... lemme pull up my spreadsheet real quick—data suggests centralized ID systems have like 300x higher breach probability than distributed models, statistically speaking

Centralized systems are like big buffets, with bad actors all around... Web3 isn't much better either, the KYC system still has the same issues. Honestly, without a proper security framework, it's all pointless.
