Recently, there has been a subtle but clear shift in the AI community. The old debates about "Can AI plan?" and "Can it call tools?" have quieted down, replaced by two more pressing questions: Does this thing really run? And if something goes wrong, who is responsible?

Kite's 2025 Ecosystem Report has just emerged at this critical juncture. You might think it would present a bunch of optimistic visions, but that's not the case. Instead, it lays out a series of real data that can be scrutinized, compared, and even criticized publicly. Because of this honesty, it becomes even more interesting to look at.

Just looking at the numbers is enough to be eye-catching: over 100 modules running, 17.8 million so-called "agent passports," peak daily interactions surpassing one million, and a total interaction volume exceeding 1.7 billion.
