Went through my deceased father's old phone one more time before factory resetting it.
I happened to find his OneDrive folder with about a thousand pictures on it.
As soon as it connected to WiFi the OneDrive apparently synced online and wiped all the photos immediately. Something that Google drive did not do.
I guess OneDrive deletes inactive files after 2 years.
That one stings. Lots of photos that are permanently gone. 😓
