The Japanese listed company Metaplanet recently announced the completion of shareholder approval for its capital structure reform plan. What are the highlights of this reform? In simple terms, they intend to open the door to institutional investors by issuing preferred shares with a dividend mechanism.

Specifically, the plan involves several core adjustments: reorganizing the capital reserve account, doubling the authorized issuance of Class A and Class B preferred shares, and introducing two mechanisms of floating Dividend and fixed Dividend. The purpose of this combination is clear – it can attract institutional funds while maintaining a flexible distribution method.

What is even more noteworthy is the scale of Metaplanet's Bitcoin reserves. The company currently holds approximately 30,823 BTC, which is roughly equivalent to $2.75 billion at current prices. This figure is quite considerable among institutional investors. It is reported that they also plan to expand their financing channels in the U.S. market through American Depositary Receipts.

From a market perspective, this not only reflects the confidence of listed companies in the long-term value of Bitcoin but also indicates that traditional financial institutions are warming up to the idea of allocating crypto assets. This type of financing innovation may become a case for other institutions to follow.

Wait, 30,823 BTC rounded to the nearest whole number? That number is too neat... Has anyone on the blockchain looked into the recent large transfer records? I suspect there might be a whale lurking within.

30,823 BTC, really daring to hoard, now institutions are in fear of missing out (FOMO), right?

30823 BTC sounds impressive, but I need to see the clinical performance of this financing structure before I comment.
