Wu said that the proposal for the Uniswap protocol fee switch, UNIfication, has received over 40 million votes in favor in the on-chain governance, reaching the required legal threshold for approval. As of now, there are approximately 69 million votes in favor and less than 1,000 against. If the proposal is approved, the following measures will be implemented: burning 100 million UNI, the fee switch for Uniswap v2 and v3 will go live on the Mainnet and start burning UNI, while Unichain fees will also be included in the burning mechanism.
