#以太坊行情解读 Traveling really makes you think. Ride-hailing services are so convenient that buying a car or hiring a driver isn't really cost-effective—unless for safety reasons.

I recently saw Vitalik mention a point that really hit home: traditional taxis are truly in the spirit of crypto—peer-to-peer direct connection, cash transactions, no KYC. In contrast, Didi is essentially like a centralized exchange, with all traffic and pricing power controlled by the platform.

This contrast is quite ironic. We're all discussing the future of decentralized assets like $BTC, $ETH, and $BNB, but in daily life, the tools we use are becoming more centralized. CEXs concentrate trading authority, and Didi concentrates travel pricing power—there's really no difference at the core.
ETH0.09%
BTC0.31%

Haha, Vitalik's analogy is really spot on. We keep shouting about decentralization every day, but we're actually being exploited by Didi. That's right, traditional taxis are actually more P2P, while Didi's model of traffic + pricing power is just a CEX with a different shell. Thinking about it now, it's a bit ironic... We believe in ETH's decentralized future, but we've become accustomed to centralized platforms in our daily lives.

Hmm, this perspective is indeed brilliant. Didi is the CEX of the transportation industry.

Haha, Didi is the transportation version of CEX, no problem. Not many people think this way, indeed it's ironic. Bro, your perspective is interesting, but I think traditional taxis are also disappearing quickly. Vitalik is right, but we still have to use Didi in daily life. The ideal is very full. No matter how perfect the peer-to-peer theory is, someone still has to accept the orders. Actually, we can't avoid centralization altogether. We talk about decentralization in words, but in practice, we still rely on CEX and Didi.

Haha, Vitalik is a perfect match, and the taxi is actually the most punk one.

Haha, that's a perfect analogy. Traditional taxis are actually more Web3. Didi is like the CEX in the transportation sector; we are surrounded by centralization. It's quite ironic to call for decentralization while using Didi. So, true freedom of travel might have to wait until the P2P carpooling protocol goes live. Vote with your feet, everyone. Don't just talk the talk about de-centralization.

Haha, this analogy is perfect. The platform is choking us by the neck. It's really ironic—running to DeFi for freedom while still being exploited by Didi. Experienced traders doing peer-to-peer cash transactions is truly the purest form of crypto spirit. That's right, we all shout about decentralization, but in reality, our lives have already been drained by centralization. This is why everyone wants to escape CEXs; Didi is essentially the same monopolistic monster.
