Clanker launches an improved pre-sale plan, Clanker Auctions, using the CCA auction mechanism to prevent sniping

【ChainNews】Clanker is adjusting its pre-sale strategy. Recently, their first token launch failed quite badly, being completely sniped by whales—one large holder bought 16 ETH in a single go, accounting for 80% of the entire pre-sale quota, with a hard cap of only 20 ETH. As a result, liquidity was locked early by a major fund.

According to recent information shared by Linda Xie, who has joined the Farcaster team, they are now planning a new pre-sale scheme called Clanker Auctions. This new approach sounds more sophisticated—it will reference a CCA auction protocol from a leading DEX, combined with contract mechanisms aimed at liquidity protection and token vesting periods.

In simple terms, it aims to address two major flaws from the previous attempt: first, the low hard cap made it easy for whales to concentrate their sniping; second, the lack of per-wallet limits allowed large holders to do as they pleased. If the new plan truly incorporates these designs, it should prevent the pre-sale from becoming a cash machine for certain individuals. However, whether it can truly prevent whale behavior depends on the final implementation, as on-chain, as long as there’s a price difference, people will try to exploit loopholes.

Another project party is coming up with a proposal based on the Whale's blood and tears history. This trap is quite common; it only counts when it is truly implemented.

Another "reform plan" after being battered by whales. The polite term is CCA auction protocol; the harsh reality is using market failure as a textbook—game equilibrium has not been established at all, so who's to blame?

The previous operation was indeed brilliant, with 16 ETH directly consuming 80%, this is the cost of having no limits. Another project team has learned the lesson; it seems we need to keep the whales tethered. Whether this CCA mechanism is reliable depends on how the contract is written. Don't come up with new tricks again.

Damn, 16 ETH eats up 80%, isn't this blatant sniping? Clanker finally learned his lesson this time. It's an auction mechanism and liquidity protection again, sounds good but can it really be implemented? It should have been done like this a long time ago, now it's too late to fix. CCA protocol sounds impressive, but I'm just worried it's all talk. That big whale last time was really incredible, is there no one who can deal with him? I've seen many ICO failures, but this level is really rare. However, if this time they can truly limit single wallet quotas, I’d like to try. By the way, Linda Xie has a say as soon as she joins, she's quick. Pre-sale schemes are too deep, I don't touch that stuff anymore.

Another improvement plan, nice words, but in the end, it's just being played around by big players. Losing once and wanting to try again? It's unlikely to really prevent sniping this time. CCA auctions sound new, but the key is whether they can truly restrict big players. Last time, trying to push 20 ETH was instantly sniped; just adding an auction mechanism this time? I want to see how they plan to prevent it. Introducing new concepts again; it's better to just set a hard limit on each wallet directly. Is the Farcaster team's plan reliable, or is it just another piece of paper talk? Locking liquidity—honestly, it requires a real regulatory mechanism to work. It still feels like just patching issues; the fundamental problem hasn't been thought through yet.

You're just rehashing old news again. Haven't you learned your lesson from the last fiasco? --- CCA auctions sound promising, but can they really prevent whales? I remain skeptical. --- Limits on single wallet quotas should have been implemented long ago. Isn't that common sense? --- Clanker’s move is truly outrageous. Can you really trust a hard cap of 20 ETH? Who designed this? --- Can a liquidity lock-up period save it? It seems more like a band-aid than a cure. --- Linda Xie has spoken out. That means this time, they’re serious. --- Pre-sales are old news. The key is how well they execute. --- 80% eaten up—that’s really embarrassing... Can the new plan turn things around? --- The auction mechanism sounds complicated. Could it end up harming retail investors? --- Daring to hold a pre-sale with such a low hard cap—Clanker, oh Clanker. --- If it could truly prevent sniping, I’d believe it. Right now, it’s all just on paper. --- They’re copying top DEXs again. When will there be some innovation?

Another "improvement plan," can we avoid messing up this time?
