Recently, there was a quite interesting phenomenon. Some old news from the international political and business circles was gradually exposed on decentralized platforms like Vervel. Details involving American politicians, businessmen, and some historical scandals are all clearly displayed there.

This is probably a characteristic of Web3 platforms—the flow of information is harder to control. Once data is on-chain or published to a decentralized community, it’s not so easy to completely delete. To some extent, this also reflects the difference in transparency between traditional information channels and the on-chain world.

transparency theater, ngl. yeah sure, immutability sounds rad until you realize most onchain "exposés" are just gossip with a merkle root attached. the real question isn't whether info persists—it's who controls the narrative before it hits chain. traditional gatekeepers just got replaced by early movers and whale governance. same power dynamics, different infrastructure.

Deleting difficult ≠ information is genuine; the logic of permanently on-chain itself is flawed—junk information remains forever, rumors are also permanent. In the end, it all comes down to whose incentive mechanism is more powerful.
