AI technology must not become a tool monopolized by a single country or a few tech giants. Currently, the United States indeed holds the advantage in computing power, chips, and large models, but this does not mean the world can only passively depend on it. The true path forward relies on a multi-centered ecosystem—open-source models freely circulating, decentralized deployment of computing power, and clear, transparent international rules. Only in this way can AI truly serve all of humanity rather than being long-term hostage to geopolitical interests. The highest form of technological progress is to ensure that every participant has a voice.

Decentralization sounds great, but who will actually break the US chip ban?

Well said, but what about reality? Open source and open source, but in the end, isn't it just being exploited by big corporations?

nah the "decentralized AI" narrative is cute but let's be real—the compute bottleneck is fundamentally an asymmetric inefficiency vector that only capital-rich players can exploit rn. open-source models are just asymptotic approximations of actual capability, tbh.
