The data he disclosed is shocking: among job applications received by crypto companies, 30%-40% come from North Korean agent networks.

**Exposure of infiltration methods, crypto entrepreneurs become key targets**

These North Korean operatives use quite covert tactics. They identify targets through international outsourcing platforms, recruit "agents" worldwide using fake identities, and then control these individuals' computers remotely, successfully infiltrating crypto companies by impersonating Americans. Once inside, they can steal sensitive information or launch further attacks.

**Internal infiltration rate is astonishing**

Statistics show that at least 15%-20% of crypto companies have been successfully infiltrated by North Korean operatives. This means the threat faced by the industry is no longer a marginal issue but a systemic risk.

**Fundamental reasons why the crypto industry has become a disaster zone**

Sabbatella pointed out that the information security (OPSEC) standards in the crypto industry are "the weakest in the entire computing industry." Founders and core teams generally lack security awareness, making them highly vulnerable to social engineering scams and malware attacks. Compared to the strict defenses of traditional financial or tech companies, the defenses in the crypto space are surprisingly fragile.

This warning should draw the attention of the entire crypto industry. Whether it is exchanges, wallet projects, or DeFi protocols, immediate improvements in personnel screening standards and internal security measures are necessary.
