Harvard University conducted a 25-year study on the impact of goals on life, focusing on a group of young people with similar ages, environments, and conditions. The results showed that 27% of young people without goals ended up in the lowest social strata after 25 years. 60% of those with vague goals became mediocre individuals, while 10% of those with clear short-term goals became the backbone of society after 25 years. 3% of young people with clear long-term goals became elites in various fields of society. Whether one has goals, whether those goals are clear, and whether they are long-term or short-term may not seem to make a significant difference in the short run, but they have a huge impact on our future development!
