Software giant Atlassian plans to lay off 1,600 employees, approximately 10% of its global workforce

Gate News reports that on March 12, software giant Atlassian plans to cut 1,600 jobs, about 10% of its global workforce. The move aims to address the rise of artificial intelligence and the overall industry slowdown. The Sydney-based company’s founder, Mike Cannon-Brookes, explained the layoffs in an internal memo and also announced that the company’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will be leaving.
