The effect appeared immediately: a lesser-known memecoin named “KEKIUS” surged over 100% in the following hours as speculators jumped into this alleged endorsement.
This token, which appeared in the early stages of Musk’s online antics, has surged back with new momentum as traders see this social signal as a cue to buy.
The influence of this billionaire does not stop there. Earlier in the day, a simple reply from Musk to a post about another memecoin, APU, also seemed to rapidly boost the price of that token.
Although none of these actions constitute an official endorsement, Musk’s unpredictable presence on X continues to amplify the wave of speculation in the corners of the cryptocurrency market - often turning obscure tokens into temporary frenzies with just a tweet or a name change.
