The State Administration for Market Regulation announced today (26th) that in 2025, a total of 25.745 million new business entities were established nationwide. Among them, 9.5 million are new enterprises and 16.194 million are new individual businesses. The number of business entities shows a trend of new and high-quality development, laying the foundation for high-quality growth. Companies related to emerging industries and future industries are growing rapidly, with strong innovation momentum. In 2025, a total of 1.134 million new companies related to the “8 emerging industries + 9 future industries” were established nationwide, an increase of 9.9% compared to the previous year. Notably, frontier fields such as humanoid robots, civil aviation, and generative artificial intelligence led the growth, further advancing China’s industrial system toward the mid-to-high end of the global value chain.
