A Hong Kong subsidiary of CITIC Securities, with the code (06030), is under investigation by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) and the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC); all of the company's business operations continue to function normally.
CITIC Securities (06030) announced that the board has noted recent media reports regarding an investigation by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission and the Independent Commission Against Corruption into a Hong Kong subsidiary of the company, as well as fluctuations in the trading price and volume of the company’s H-shares on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong on March 12, 2026. The board hereby clarifies the following: The company learned that on March 10, 2026, the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission and the ICAC executed search warrants at the subsidiary’s office and seized some documents. An employee of the subsidiary was questioned by the ICAC. The company attaches great importance to this matter and will continue to closely monitor its development.
The board confirms that as of the date of this announcement, the group’s operations are normal, all businesses are proceeding normally, and all operational activities are conducted in an orderly and compliant manner.
After making all reasonable inquiries regarding the company’s situation under the relevant circumstances, the board confirms that, aside from the investigation, it is not aware of any reasons for the fluctuations, any information that must be disclosed to prevent false markets in the company’s securities, or any inside information that must be disclosed under Part XIVA of the Securities and Futures Ordinance (Hong Kong Law Chapter 571).
