State Council Food Safety Office: Accelerate the formulation and revision of food safety standards related to pre-made dishes, cold chain transportation, and others
Today, the State Council Food Safety Office learned that this year it will accelerate the improvement of the regulatory and standards system, promote a comprehensive revision of the Food Safety Law, and speed up the formulation and revision of standards related to pre-made dishes, pesticide and veterinary drug residue testing, cold chain transportation, and other food safety areas, ensuring that regulations are clear and enforceable.
It will establish sound inter-departmental consultation, joint inspection, and law enforcement mechanisms, conducting regular special rectification efforts in key areas and categories such as campus food, “ghost” takeout, and the abuse of food additives, which are strongly reflected by the public.
Continuous efforts will be made to strengthen supervision over critical links such as edible agricultural products, food storage and transportation, online sales, and imported foods, cracking down severely on illegal activities, creating a high-pressure situation of “immediate action and strict punishment” against violations.
Regarding campus food safety, efforts will be made to deepen the “Internet + Transparent Kitchen” initiative, improve the campus ingredient procurement mechanism, strengthen regular joint inspections, and prevent substandard ingredients from entering schools.
The State Council Food Safety Office will form a “Blue Army” team for sampling inspections, focusing on urgent issues and concerns of the people, enhancing the targeting of supervision and sampling, precisely identifying risks and hidden dangers, and achieving the goal of “preventing problems before they occur.”
