Gumloop, an AI agent-building platform for non-technical employees, has completed a $50 million Series B round led by Everett Randell of Benchmark. The startup has been adopted by companies such as Shopify and Instacart and enables teams to automate complex tasks without engineering assistance. Benchmark's investment also includes Nexus VP and Y Combinator, with the primary investment rationale being Gumloop's low learning curve and model-agnostic nature, which allows customers to use various AI models from OpenAI or Anthropic. Randell believes that enterprise automation is the largest application category in the enterprise AI space.
