Deep Tide TechFlow News, January 10th, according to Jin10 Data, U.S. President Trump predicts that major oil companies will quickly reach agreements to invest at least $100 billion in Venezuela. This is the most direct pressure Trump has exerted on these companies so far after forcibly capturing Venezuelan President Maduro, demanding they return to Venezuela. “We will decide which oil companies can enter Venezuela and reach agreements with these companies. We may make a decision today or soon,” Trump said during a meeting at the White House with nearly 20 oil industry executives. Trump stated that he expects these companies to complete investments without federal assistance and said that oil companies will “spend at least $100 billion of their own funds, not government funds.” “If you don’t want to enter Venezuela, let me know, because I have 25 people who didn’t come today willing to replace you,” Trump told the representatives of the oil companies.
