The data fragmentation dilemma in the cross-chain world is now in plain sight. Application data across different public chains are isolated from each other, with dispersed logic and isolated information—like a divided whole, each piece containing value but unable to communicate.

On Arbitrum, transaction logic is stored; on Polygon, user behavior data is locked; on Sui, key verification information is preserved. If these fragments can be organically integrated, enormous potential will be unleashed. But the problem is that traditional cross-chain solutions often adopt a competitive approach—either building their own chain or relying on centralized bridges, which are inefficient and costly.

The Walrus protocol opens a different door. Its core is not about competing for territory on chains but about building a deeper infrastructure—a domain where data fragments can self-identify, actively invoke, and collaborate for reorganization. Imagine it as a subconscious layer, where data from Chain A can proactively access information from Chain B, jointly completing verification and integration on a third chain. The entire process is quiet, efficient, and low-cost.

The $WAL token plays a key role in this—it's not just a tool for settling transaction fees but also a "memory beacon" circulating within this ocean of data. Every cross-chain consensus, data reorganization, is marked with economic value by $WAL, incentivizing the access and flow of more high-quality data.

This design changes the way we view the multi-chain world. No longer need to choose "which chain to trust," but instead allow data to flow freely across multiple chains, empowering each other. For developers, this means easier construction of truly cross-chain applications; for users, the value of data can be fully unlocked.

What will happen when enough data fragments converge into this "sea of memory"? The potential of the entire multi-chain ecosystem will be truly activated. And $WAL is becoming the pulse of this transformation.
